Akito is
probably the last direct descendant by EH Sixtus, whose genetics can be found here
via the dam line matching the thoroughbred Limbo xx.
Limbo xx won some of Germany's most prestigious young thoroughbred horse races and was third in the German Derby in 1978. His sire Pentathlon xx was an influential racehorse and sire in Europe and several of his sons, grandsons and granddaughters found their way into the German warmblood breeds, mostly because of their athletic abilities and their great work ethic.
His grandmother, the thoroughbred Ajanta xx,
delivered the medium level dressage horse Apsis from Unkensee, while his award-winning dam Pr St Acajou has also produced three medium level dressage horses: Aberfeldy
v. Buddenbrock, Axacto v. Fragonard xx and Attaktion v. Angard.

EH Sixtus is by Habicht out of Stradelle by Ibikus.
The "Trakehner stallion of the year
2001" is a stunning black stallion of unparalleled beauty. He would have
excelled at any discipline, but it was decided to turn him into a show jumper.
In only a couple of years, Sixtus participated at the National Show Jumper
Championships in Germany, the World Championships of the Young Show Jumper in
Belgium and won several Grand Prixs, among them the events at Hamburg and
Insterburg.
He is classified as an Elite stallion, approved for Trakehner and Oldenburg.
EH Sixtus is
a celebrated sire today and the leading jumper producer in the Trakehner breed.
In the past few years, it was his stallion line that consistently produced the
"best jumpers" in Neumünster at the annual stallion approvals, like
Sabary, Axis, Titulus and now Hirtentanz.
E. H. Sixtus is a typical black stallion in the ideal format and with the best division, a large-scale construction with a large shoulder and a good connection. Highest quality of movement with excellent activity of the hindquarters, a rare gift at the jump and a performance-tested and fertile blood guide make this stallion to a highly interesting athlete and sire.
His father Habicht was not only successful in the Military, but also winner of the stalllion performance test in Westercelle 1970 and the Central Stallion Show Schwaiganger 1977. Habicht is the father of a total of 16 licensed sons. The maternal grandfather, DLG winner Ibikus, was one of the best saddle horse sires in the Trakehner breed.
E. H. Sixtus was reserve champion of the licensing 1991 and was succesful from 1995 to 1998 in jumping. He scored a total of four victories in S-jumping and more than 50 placements in jumping.
In 1996 he was a participant of the Bundeschampionat and participant of the world championship of young jumping horses in Belgium.
With 138 points, he had the highest jumping index of all Trakehner stallions.
In the FN
breeding values E.H. Sixtus got 99 points for the tournament sport dressage.
This corresponds to a security of 91%. It looks even better in young horse
tests dressage, broodmare examinations and assessment tests. Here he has a
security of 96%. With 98 points and 87% safety he also scores in tournament
jumping. In young horse tests jumping is 94%.
The offspring of E.H. Sixtus shows in the sport as a real exceptional talent. Overall, E.H. Sixtus has 308 registered sporthorse offspring.
Among them are up to the class S successful dressage, jumping and eventing horses.
His son E.H. Axis TSF was for some time, the most successful Trakehner dressage horse in the world. He was ridden by Terhi Stegars.
Another example is Kawango, who twice became German Champion of the Para-Dressage Riders with Hannelore Brenner and was qualified for the Paralympics in 2016.
"Kawango is Trakehner of the Year 2017!!
The gelding Kawango (*2005, by Sixtus o/o Kandra by Kostolany - Schwalbenherbst - Flaneur) is the Trakehner of the Year 2017 - a title reserved for a sport horse that has contributed significantly to the success of the breed. Kawango was bred by Friedrich Isaak and is owned by Hanne Brenner. Together with Hanne, he is one of Germany's top para-equestrian athletes and won the German National Championships this year. He is also successful in regular dressage at L and M levels both with Hanne and Dorte Christensen in the saddle.
Karawango is a full brother to the late top sport horse sire Kasparow and comes from an exceptional sport horse family, which also includes the Grand Prix gelding Kevin, the Inter I winning mare Kira K, the S level dressage mare Karisma V and many others.
EH Sixtus is the sire of 13 licensed sons, 16 licensed grandchildren, 8 licensed great great grandchildren.
At present, more than 197 of his daughters are registered in various studbooks, including 45 state premium mares, five champion mares and three reserve winners.
This black horse has decisively shaped the Trakehner breed in recent years.
