Carlsson vom Dach is a wonderful young stallion with very good breeding and temperament, currently standing 16.1 hands. He is a few spot leopard in coat pattern type and carries 2 leopard genes, therefore
100% of Carlsson vom Dach's offspring will be leopard.
He is an excellent choice for mare owners wishing to breed an attractive spotted foal.
Most notable is his gentle nature, cool temperament, and lovable calm character, perfect for the every day amateur rider with more than sufficient aptitude in jump and movement for the ambitious rider and competitor.
Carlsson vom Dach has good height with a handsome head for a Knabstrupper. He has a well set, well developed neck, correct limbs and is well proportioned in his body and limbs. He is still very young and has a lot of development yet to come. His walk is good, diligent, and tactful. His canter is rhythmical and balanced, and his jump has good technique and scope.
In his pedigree we find the talented Holstein blood of the show jumping progenitor Ladalco, son of one of the most influential Thoroughbred sport horse sires, Ladykiller xx, whose name can be found in the pedigrees of many top show jumping and sport horses of today. In addition we find the Holstein blood of Aldato by Anblick xx.
His frozen semen is of very good quality, and we have had excellent pregnancy results in Australia to date.

************************************************
The Knabstrupper breed was first established in 1812 in Denmark. A chestnut mare with leopard complex blanket markings was bred to a solid-coloured stallion, producing a colt with dramatic spotting. The mare and her son were bred to other horses, producing offspring with spotting and establishing the Knabstrupper as a breed.
This breed was very popular in Denmark. They do well in dressage and showjumping, used in general riding and as carriage horses due to their good temperament. In 1971 three top quality Appaloosa stallions were imported to Denmark to add new blood to the Knabstrupper breed.
