Edberg TSF is currently one of the most successful representatives of the Trakehner breed in the world, and will be available to breeders for the first time from 2020.
His sire, the Höremer elite stallion Connery enters into a relationship with the renowned sires Kaiser Wilhelm and Schwadroneur, who also advanced to become international ambassadors of their breed in the Großer Viereck.
His dam, Elta, was the best Trakehner mare of her year in Denmark, and granddam Espritta is a sister to the World Cup dressage horse Esprit. The dam line goes back to the Moranek daughter Eurydyka from prominent roots of the Polish Trakehner breed.
In all basic gaits, Edberg TSF moves easily and lightly with accentuated forehand mechanics, and always takes the necessary load on the hindquarters.
Due to his unique interior, and at the same time outstanding rideability, this model student is highly successful in international Grand Prix sport and here, too, his performance curve is constantly showing upwards.
Edberg's riding career from 2011 - 2015
Edberg has since the age of 3 started young horse classes in Germany and in 2014 he was a reserve on the Danish UVM team for 6 years of dressage horses that took place in the World.
The 2015 season began with three victories in S-dressage, which opened the doors for Antje and Edberg to participate in major events, such as Hagen, Mannheim and not least at the well-known international Pentecostal event in Wiesbaden.
On the beautiful stage in Wiesbaden in front of it pink castle Antje and Edberg debuted in Intermediate. Edberg was the youngest participant in the class with his 7 years, and the field was packed with professional riders and some of the very best horses. Antje achieved a nice 7th place and 66.816%.
Bodil and Erik Jørgensen, Edberg's breeders, say:
"As breeders, we are very happy that Antje Hell gives Edberg every chance to develop his talent, and we enjoy following the couple from the sidelines, and the decorative castle in Wiesbaden is the most beautiful backdrop imaginable."
Edberg and his famous family
Edberg is one of the horses that confirms that breeding is definitely no coincidence and as such Edberg is the 6th generation after the pedigree mare Dolida, which was one of 3 trakehner mares with which the Jørgensen family started their breeding in the late 1960s.
Dolida was even after the old headmistress on the Trakehnen - Polarstern.
She was born in 1950 at the Polish state stud Liski, and already at the purchase in 1968 of this older mare Bodil and Erik Jørgensen were aware of this mare family's inherited ability, as a half-brother, Royal Beaver, and Volt e. Dolida's father, Polarstern, were participants. at the 1960 Rome Olympics.
Edberg's great - grandmother, the Elite mare Ebena by Herbststurm, was the full sister of Elba, who was the mother of Echuca by Schwadroneur.
Echuca won team bronze for juniors at the European Championships in 1995.
Grand Prix horse Esprit Ebena was also the mother of Esprit by Schwadroneur, who throughout her career was at the top of Danish dressage with her regular rider Nicole Ahlefeldt Laurvig-Lehn.
On Nicole's website, she writes the following about her “life partner on the occasion of his 20th birthday:
"I have won 3 Danish championships as a junior / young rider with him and 3 times we have been Nordic champion.
He has 5 times participated in the European Championships for junior / young riders, and all 5 times he has been in the A-final with a 4th place as best result.I have won the Euro Future cup in Münster as well as Berlin with him.
As a senior I have become No. 5 and 6 to the DM with him.In addition, Esprit has several international places in the Grand Prix and qualified for the World Cup final in Dortmund in 2004.
All in all, Esprit has been a great horse for me. I am very pleased that he is thriving and can enjoy his retirement here at Klueshof. "

Connery's performance inheritance is no match! His pedigree contains the best Trakehner breeding there is to offer. His sire is the highly successful and elite Stallion of the Year, Buddenbrock, and Connery has become one of his most important sons.
After an excellent stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf, Connery received recognition from the Hanoverian Verband and was one of the most successful stallions in Germany from 2001 to 2004. During this time, he qualified for the Bundeschampion in Warendorf, and became Vice Champion of the four-year-old stallions at the Trakehner federal tournament in Hanover.
His offspring Imperio and Heuberger are highly succcessful in international sport. Due to his successful offspring Connery was on the WBFSH World Sire Ranking.
Buddenbrock has been highly influential on the Trakehner breed. Buddenbrock passes on the typical characteristics of his sire, Sixtus: a strong sense of motivation for the sport and good hind-leg activitiy. His dam sire brings quality basic gaits and rideability to the pedigree.
Connery's dam Caro Dame II is through her mother a direct maternal half sister to the Hoermer line founder Consul who has earned an excellent reputation as a supplier of high quality offspring in breeding and sport.
