Third placed at the German Young Horse Championships in September 2000, Royal Olymp easily attracted the interest of many buyers.
The gorgeous chestnut luckily stayed in Germany, as he was sold for 520,000 DM to a dressage barn in Plaaz.
The R line that Royal Olymp descends from is known for producing calm and rideable horses with a good brain, and Royal Olymp is no exception.
In the following years he was a constant winner in dressage at elementary and medium level, and both at the age of five and six qualified for the Federal Championships.
In the 2004 season, Royal Olymp managed the smooth transition to success in advanced dressage classes.
With Rohdiamant and Florestan I, Royal Olymp's pedigree combines two stallions which belong to the top ten of dressage horse sires.
His dam Farce proved her great talent for sports as Federal Vice Champion of three-year-old riding horses.
In 2001 a full sister to Royal Olymp was elected Vice Champion of Oldenburg mares and in the same year was sold to Austria at a top price.

With the Grand Prix stallion Rohdiamant and Florestan I, Royal Olymp is leading the latest dressage blood in the anterior generations of his pedigrees, which is rounded off by Francisco I and Perlkönig. Rohdiamant was twice Bundeschampion and has meanwhile been successful as a dressage horse sire.
Florestan I was able to stand out as a multi-sire of the highest rank and is regarded as the sire of Westphalia.
Royal Olympus, Royal Olympian, was the reserve veteran of the Elitestutenschau at Rastede in 2001 and changed the owner in the autumn of the same year. The Mutterstamm flows into the Westphalian baseline of the Flammi, among them the discreet disco boy, Pollux and Renvers.
Royal Olymp was the top horse of the 2000 autumn season at Vechta, before he was fourth with the German Champion of the three-year-old stallions with J. Westendarp and placed final rally at the Landesturnier to Rastede.
He also confirmed his high esteem in the 30-day test in Vechta, which he passed with flying colors. In 2001, he was again victorious in horseback riding tests and won prizes for horseback riding horses. He also won the dressage horse tests of classes A and L, partly with grades up to 9.0.
In 2002, he continued his sporting career and qualified for the Bundeschampionat of the German dressage horse after winning in dressage horse tests.
Royal Olymp presents itself in a very good form in its new home in Norway. After being eliminated from the dressage sport just before the Grand Prix maturity, Royal Olymp first covered a year in Finland with great popularity before Lillian and Cato Strand acquired him and exported to Norway. There, Royal Olymp was only available for breeding years before he gradually recovered from his ligament tear in the ankle, contrary to all veterinary prognosis.
In January 2012, Royal Olymp, with victories in Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I impressively returned to the tournament.
